Q: Do I need to install any software?

No you don't. All you need is access to a computer and an internet connection to login to the service. Furthermore, you will benefit instantly from any upgrades that occur from time to time meaning that your accounts will always be up to date and based upon the correct legislation and tax rates.

Q: Is the date safe & secure?

The information that passes between your computer and our servers are protected by sophisticated layers of security to ensure data is not compromised. We use a combination of SSL security (indicated by a "lock" icon at the bottom of most internet browsers) for the web browser plus technology to protect unlawful entry by attempted hackers.

Furthermore, our servers and equipment are held in data centers located at Telehouse, Dockland & London Hosting Centre.

Our reputation relies upon the ability to ensure records are kept safe and thus we always ensure that data is backed up hourly and at various locations throughout the UK. This means that in the event of a major disruption data can be rolled back quickly

Q: Do I still need an accountant, if so where can I find one?

Although Clever Accounts helps you accurately record and manage your accounts more successfully, it is still recommended that you seek the services of a professional accountant to finalise the accounts and complete the various statutory data. The fact that the accountant is not tied up with helping maintaining your accounts means that they can spend more time on other important areas of your business and more importantly could result in a saving of accountancy costs.
